All of us at SoSGA have a common passion for Stargate Atlantis, a passion which is shared by its legion of fans world-wide. It offered us an unmatched combination of lovable, three dimensional characters, humour and adventure; all set in a universe we had already come to know and love through the adventures of SG-1.

Thus when it was so peremptorily cancelled we banded together with all our fellow fans in order to save our beloved show. For the last ten weeks the fan community has strived and given their utmost to the campaign, but time and circumstances have conspired against us.

In spite of the best and most persistent efforts of the fans, the little comment we have received from those who control Stargate makes it very clear that they have no intention of reversing their decision, or changing their position. All their energies are directed towards selling their new show, and they are apparently confident in their assessment that the fans will fall into line as expected.

The last phase of our campaign lay with the Vlog which was to be shown at Armageddon Expo; unfortunately the organisers decided at the last minute that they no longer wished to show it. It has been distributed to other places, including MGM but there is no sign of any response.

After due consideration and with great regret we have decided to cease the campaign, we want to thank all those who contributed their time, energy and creativity to the cause, it was a valiant effort.

SoSGA is happy to announce the commencement of the Vlog Advertisement portion of the Save Stargate Atlantis Campaign.
The Vlog is going to be shown at Armageddon con, has been sent to MGM and Sci-Fi and will be sent to many other places in due course.
SoSGA would like to thank all those who have contributed their time and creative energies to make this part of the campaign a success.

We have mailed letters, we have sent lemons, and now may be the time to start calling MGM…
Originally, we felt that a phone campaign would not be productive. It would be easy for MGM to push our calls onto an answering machine or server where we would simply not be able to get through. But SciFinut007 has gotten through!

He or She reached a person - A person who said that we might still have a chance to save SGA.

The VLog video is almost ready. It will be shown at the SGA panel at Armaggedon Con. But in the meantime we need to strike again, and with SciFiNut007’s success, a new phone initiative may provide the boost our campaign needs!

We know that not everyone can make the long distance call, but if you can, call as many times a day as possible! Ask to speak to Charles Cohen. Call and call and call!

PLEASE be polite, but let them know we want SGA for another season. Not SGU, not movies, but another season of SGA. Maybe if we call enough, we can sway their decision. Every part of the campaign, the Vlog, the lemons, the letters, the phone calls, they all show our unhappiness with their decision. Help us make them listen.

Following our last blog, and subsequent reply blog at STLC, we feel it is necessary to justify our current position.

Problems with the paypal account were first brought to light on Friday 19th September. Since this time James had apparently made no progress on fixing said problem. As of Wednesday 24th September we have received no further updates. Several of us tried to make contact with James via email, texting his mobile phone and MSN, when he was appearing online. He was unresponsive to our attempts.

On Saturday 27th September a final 2 texts were sent to James' phone requesting that he contact us in some way to update us. After threats to pull SOSGA’s collaboration a final ultimatum was sent. At 11pm Saturday 27th September, no communication had been received.

To understand the position of those at SOSGA, a problem with the Paypal account handling the donations is a major issue. Without updates it raised questions and our members were not willing to take any risks.

We harbor no ill feelings and we are committed to saving the show. We welcome any input members at STLC may have.

We at SOSGA have been forced to take an unexpected step and end our collaboration with Save-TheLostCity.com. This is unfortunately due to a lack of communication being offered by the forerunner of the site.

There has apparently been a problem with the paypal account associated with donations for lemons. After some time we have received no further details despite frequent requests.

SOSGA never had anything to do with the lemon sending campaign, only the mail strikes were joint. We have no access to the paypal account or have any information other than there is a problem which means there is money in the bank but no lemons are being sent. If you have any issues or wish to find out more we would request you ask the folk at Save-TheLostCity.com as we are as uninformed as the rest of you.

However, the good news is that the vlog campaign went well and the final compilation video should be made public soon.
